We’re looking for a master of words at Two Rivers Marketing. A storyteller. Someone who can find the nugget in a corporate presentation that is a story worth expanding on, and who can transition from writing website copy to writing a long-form article in a blink. Someone who appreciates that a little punctuation can change a whole lot. Pen to paper (or keystroke to screen) – we need someone who doesn’t write because they have to, but writes because they need to. Come on over and let’s see what ya’ got. Oh, yeah. Here’s what you’d be doing.

• Refine, develop and protect brand voice for clients through copy development

• Collaborate with Creative Director, Art Director and other team members to produce concepts/copy that support client goals by delivering ideas through story/copy

• Draft copy for multiple platforms, including social channels, e-newsletters, intranet/internal microsites, websites, videos, collateral materials, trade show/promotions, direct mail, and presentations

• Work with a content strategist to ensure content creation is meeting wider client goals and objectives

• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts

• Produce (close) to error-free content (I mean, no one’s perfect and we have an editorial department)

• In addition to more traditional copywriting needs, will be asked to develop more in-depth content for trade publications, e.g. bylines, working with client SMEs to conduct interviews and develop articles

• Have a knack for managing multiple projects and deadlines

• Preferred:

- Skill with the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis, and acronyms

- Understanding of SEO concepts preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience

• Ability to exercise both technical and creative/editorial copywriting skills, and an understanding of the appropriate context and audience for each

• Strong editing, proofreading, and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to initiate projects with little handholding

• Strong interviewing skills

• Degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred

• Agency experience preferred

• Experience in editorial planning or content calendar management preferred

• Aptitude in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
