Happy Medium is seeking an individual with experience in business development to work alongside accounts and leadership to help create and implement business development strategies, proposal writing as well as generate new sales. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, enjoys a fast-paced environment, is comfortable working with prospects, has good organizational skills and can adjust work schedules according to demands. As someone with a drive for helping people, the candidate will be able to organize meetings with prospects and work with the team leads on building and writing proposals.


As a Business Development Manager at Happy Medium, you will be responsible for the following:

- Develop a thorough understanding of Happy Medium’s business, including web development, media buying, creative services, and social media; as well as its place within the local market

- Write proposals

- Create and implement business development strategies

- Identify new business contacts and opportunities

- Create and maintain a prospects databases

- Coordinate and arrange client emails, calls and meetings

- Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients, including establishing priorities and timelines for proposal writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with contributing teams; and sending proposals

- Support the account management team by responding to request for proposals and completing new business lead documents


- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related field

- Excellent writer

- At least 2 years experience in business development or related sales function

- Strong project management skills; flexibility to adjust work schedule according to workload demands; ability to deal with multi-faceted marketing proposals and manage multiple concurrent projects; establish and manage deadlines and prioritize appropriately

- Confident networker skilled at developing/maintaining relationships with outside business leaders, contacts and referral sources. - Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
