Description

This position manages the flow of work in and out of the agency’s creative and digital departments, leads weekly production meetings, utilizes Workamajig to appropriately load balance workloads across the creative and digital departments and reassigns resources as needed. The Resource Manager works closely with the project management team and department heads to identify and resolve bottlenecks within production. Additionally, the Resource Manager works closely with creative and digital department heads to staff projects with appropriately and adequately skilled talent, identifying skill gaps and opportunities to train and grow associates to increase overall department utilization and quality. The Resource Manager also works with the management team to manage deliverable deadlines and accounting to review creative and digital team utilizations and realizations and forecasts department revenue to support staffing and hiring plans.

Responsibilities

Manages flow of work in and out of the agency

Ensures on-time delivery of all agency deliverables

Manages creative and digital staff schedules and workload in Workamajig

Monitors daily, weekly and monthly load balancing and makes resource allocation adjustments daily

Nurtures proactive communication between the agency’s creative, digital, client services and project management teams

Manages client production priorities and scheduling conflicts

Manages freelancer and critical vendor relationships

Manages vendor contracts

Manages digital asset naming convention and file folder structures

Manages creative and digital department utilization(s) to goal

Manages approved vendor/contractor/freelancer list

Manages weekly agency production meetings

Manages and maintains skill matrices of all creative/digital teams and identifies gaps in departmental/staff skillsets

Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values

Requirements

10+ years of project management or creative manager experience Bachelor’s degree

Marketing agency experience Skilled in maintaining production calendar and load balancing available resources

Skilled in maintaining skill matrices and identifying employee development opportunities

Skilled in identifying factors lowering agency utilization and working with department heads to find solutions

Skilled in negotiating contracts with freelancers and contractors, with rates that preserve agency margin

Experience analyzing revenue forecasting and translating to headcount needs

Experience with Workamajig, Workbook, Advantage, NetSuite OpenAir, Clients and Profits, or other integrated operations tools required
