Happy Medium is seeking a media buyer to identify the best mix of media channels to deliver an advertising message to a clients’ target audience. Using research data, they consider what is going to be the most effective within the budget allocated and give the client’s product or service maximum exposure.


As a Media Buyer at Happy Medium, you will be responsible for the following:

- Work with the client, account team and digital media lead to understand the client’s business objectives and advertising strategy

- Work in conjunction with our digital media lead to create comprehensive media plans for clients

- Plan and place all traditional media across all agency clients

- Assist in placing all digital media across all agency clients

- Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns in order to inform future campaigns

- Coordinate TV spot production with client(s) and the internal creative team

- Assist in trafficking out all traditional media campaigns

- Assist in updating all media planning calendars

- Assist in quarterly and yearly avails process

- Assist in monthly invoice reconciliation

- Assist in monthly reporting across all campaigns

- Make and maintain good contacts with reps across all markets

- Manage client relationships to build respect and trust in your judgment


- 1-3 years’ experience in a media buying role

- Client management and agency experience a plus

- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in media

- Certified or willing to get certified in Google Analytics and Google AdWords

- Strong detail orientation with good organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to implement on extremely tight deadlines

- Critical thinking with the ability to understand and evaluate all relevant data and troubleshoot when necessary

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to ask questions and have a thirst for knowledge

- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects in a timely manner
