Marketing Communications Specialist

The purpose of this job is to plan, coordinate and implement marketing communications by working with a cross-functional team to create content for a variety of platforms and audiences and to ensure dissemination of complete packages to both internal and external stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field is required, with a minimum of two years’ experience. Six years’ directly related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
Work as a liaison with the Marketing, Sales and R&D / Technical Service teams to identify messaging and content needs for our global audiences. Plan, write and/or create marketing materials, including but not limited to white papers, flyers, brochures, press releases, presentations, social media content and other marketing collateral, in coordination with other team members. Liaise with team members, agencies and other outside resources to ensure content is created within brand standards. Arrange accurate translations of marketing materials as needed for global use. Project manage marketing packages to ensure all elements are complete, of high quality and deadlines are met. Ensure marketing packages are disseminated to both internal and external stakeholders in timely and organized manner. Conduct basic market research relevant to the customers and markets we serve. Maintain digital media properties such as web sites, LinkedIn, YouTube and work with software programs such as Basecamp, Agorapulse, Wordpress and others. Work with regional Directors and sales and technical teams to provide value through marketing to support sales efforts Other projects as assigned.
Knowledge of marketing, sales, advertising, communication and/or related fields. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Specific knowledge and use of the internet and computer hardware and software, including MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus. Ability to understand the manufacturing process and science behind products manufactured by APC. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity. Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work daily and other hours as required. Ability to assist other work related areas as required. Ability to travel domestically, <10% annually.
BASIC MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires the mental capabilities to take direction from others and complete work independently. Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as attention to detail are necessary in accomplishing the job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPOSURES:
General office working conditions, and occasional travel with exposure to inclement weather may be required.
