The Manager – Web Application UI/UX Design works with internal stakeholders, users and Product Managers to translate requirements into wireframes and ultimately into internal and external facing web and mobile applications. This role is critical in the design of the products and is responsible for the user experience. The Manager – Web Application UI/UX Design manages other Web Application UI/UX designers and establishes the web application design standards and style guides used by those team members.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Works as a team lead with end users and product managers to define product functionality and translates specs into wireframes and prototypes; serves as the core contributor and lead designer for web application projects and user experience in visualizing web application content

- Creates high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes for an MVP product; redesigns existing web applications to communicate quantitative data and visually tell a story to our customers

- Creates technical specifications to ensure developers understand the business case and builds optimal features

- Works with a multi-disciplinary team of Creative Agency, Product Managers, Engineering and other Designers to move through concept to prototype to execution of dashboards and customer interfaces

- Provides thought leadership, best practices and standards around data visualization and information design to the team

- Contributes positively to design discussions by creating sketches, providing constructive design commentary, and sharing evaluative critique

- Consistently applies user research methods to validate design ideas and direction

- Designs thoughtful user experiences based on real user needs, motivations, and pain-points

- Develops strong relationships with the product and development teams in our business unit

- Delivers user interface recommendations in the form of documentation, wireframes, mockups, or a moderate level of prototyping

- Effectively communicates (both verbally and visually) research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale

- Offers new ideas and solutions for the product design

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience / training is required; UX, Design or Interactive Design degree is preferred

- Three (3) or more years of design experience in the fields of Web Application development, UI/UX Design or related fields

- Must have an excellent portfolio comprised of world-class Web Application designs, UX, UI, and visual design examples

- Must have demonstrated experience in HTML and Javascript

- Experience with Webflow is preferred
