The Manager – Technical lead is responsible for managing, planning and implementing the development side of show delivery for our virtual solutions. This includes scheduling the various work across multiple development components, ensuring all integrations are set up and tested as well as the front end components of the website are delivered on time and to specification. This role will lead the dev side of show delivery for some shows directly as well as lead a small team of Technical Leads who will also deliver shows. This role will partner closely with our Customer Success team to ensure client satisfaction. It will require scheduling show coverage both during working hours and after hours as well as taking a lead role on after hour coverage based on a rotating schedule that he or she will manage.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and troubleshoot technical issues for shows that this role owns as well as coaches a team to own for their shows
Develop and implement departmental standards for process, performance and documentation
Maintain Tech Lead SOPs which will coordinate closely with our Customer Success SOPs
Responsible for scheduling of resources; will establish assignments and scheduling for Tech Leads show coverage as well as after-hours coverage
Manage department staffing and resources within approved budget
Responsible for coordinating across all components of the Dev team (BAs, Integrations, Web Development) to deliver shows successfully
Support Sr. Director to manage the overall Dev department budget; forecast expenses, make recommendations
Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, disciplining as well as preparing and conducting performance evaluations
Partner closely with Customer Success Managers & Producer Leaders to build and constantly improve the processes for show delivery
Responsible for identifying and securing contractors if needed based on staffing needs
Participate in regular Development Manager/Leadership team meetings
Collaborate and participate in cross-department projects
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
A minimum of (1) one – (3) three years of management experience is desired
Must have a strong enough technical understanding to troubleshoot issues and engage the right resources to solve technical issues
MS Office, with proficiency in Excel and other dbase applications is required
