TWO of the eight inductees for the national Advertising Hall of Achievement Class of 2018 are Drake SJMC alums!
Congratulations to Evin Shutt (2001) and Abbey Klaassen (2002) Drake alumni grads!
Elected into the Advertising Hall of Achievement Class of 2018, in receiving this award, they joins an illustrious group whose inspiration, leadership and accomplishments are shaping the future of the advertising industry. The AAF will present them with this award at the 26th Annual induction ceremonies and luncheon, chaired by Brian Benedik of Spotify and Heidi Browning of the NHL, on November 13 at the Cipriani 42nd Street in New York.
Since its inception, the Hall has emerged as the industry’s most prestigious award recognizing our top young thought leaders transforming the landscape of advertising, entertainment and media. The list of inductees reads like a Who’s Who of your colleagues.
Fellow inductees are Tal Chalozin, Innovid; Laura Correnti, Giant Spoon; Ryan Eckel, Dick’s Sporting Goods; Saneel Radia, R/GA; Dhane Scotti, McCann Worldgroup; and Kerry Steib, Spotify.The Ceremonies are attended by over 500 industry executives and is the AAF’s second-largest fundraising event of the year enabling us to sustain our many industry-serving multicultural, advocacy and educational initiatives.
The Advertising Hall of Achievement, a bicoastal event, has long been the gold standard in recognizing top advertising thought leaders age 40 and younger. For over 25 years, the Advertising Hall of Achievement, remains the premier industry event to recognize young, talented individuals who are making a significant impact in the advertising industry and through philanthropic work in their communities. The impressive alumni network includes 174 members with expertise spanning the entire spectrum of the advertising industry including clients, agencies, media and tech. The event is attended by over 600 C-suite and senior level advertising and business leaders and is the second-largest fundraiser for the Federation providing a vital source of funding necessary to continue the wide range of educational, multicultural, and advocacy initiatives that are critical to our industry.
